    Excellent time

    My company held an event at La Piazza a couple of weeks ago, I had to write about what a great experience we had. Everything was exceptional, our fixed menu was great, served in a timely fashion. Everything was cooked and seasoned wonderfully, very fresh. They really took the time to address all our requests and needs and we loved everything that they provided with the meal. The little extra personal touches from the owner were wonderful.

    Wonderfully Italian

    I dined at La Piazza on business in June 2012 This was a last minute decision, we had a reservation in Ottawa, but meetings ran long, and we didn't feel like making the drive, so we just walked into La Piazza as it was close to where we happened to be at the time. Menu was a good size, not too huge but an excellent selection, great wine selection too. I went with a Caprese salad to start, totally delicious, with a generous amount of fresh buffalo mozzarella. As a entre' I had the spaghetti with meatballs, which was perfect. it was like I was sitting in the piazza Novona it was so authentic. Wine list is rich with great italian wines, we had a delightful Amarone, it was one of the best I've ever had. Our waiter was outstanding, incredible service, he knew a ton about italian wine, and made a great dinner into an unforgettable dinner. And to think we just walked in thinking we'd grab a quick bite. That may have been why we found it so great, we had no expectations, and ended up having one of the best meals I've had this year. Highly recommend this place, it's worth the short drive from Ottawa.

    Great food, great ambience

    This is a lovely, lively, Italian restaurant. We went on the advice of our neighbours who dine there often. They have a beautiful outdoor patio that we dined at; the service was attentive and the meal was wonderful. I had the Poached Salmon; it was expertly cooked - not dry at all. Our dining companions all had pasta dishes, all were delicious. Overall this is a well laid out restaurant, serving really good authentic Italian fare at a reasonable price for the portion size.

    Nice date night

    The atmosphere was lively but not overbearing. The waitstaff was extremely attentive but not intrusive. Very nice Italian wine selection by the glass. We each had an appetizer, caesar salad and calamari; both were excellent. My wife had a pasta dish with tomato and basil and I had veal scalaopini. Mine was fantastic. My wife thought hers was great as well. We don't do desserts but the creme brulee and tiramisu looked wonderful. A wonderful, relaxing meal.

    Nice

    Went to this restaurant on the weekend with my girlfriends. The food is fantastic, the service is great, they have a live band on the weekend and they're quite good. The owner's very nice, gave us a glass of wine on the house and stopped by to chat for a bit. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and will return.
