What sets a photograph apart are those little but important touches; they are the difference between a great image and a lacklustre one. It takes a skilled and experienced photographer to know what these touches are, allowing you to end up with a shot you are proud to hang on your wall or place on your desk.
John Carvahlo is one such photographer. Following his travels in Europe where he photographed people and picked up work in a photo lab, he returned to Toronto and opened Exposures Photography in 1998.
“People can see a professional approach in my work," says John. "I often get a client coming to my store with shots they’re dissatisfied with saying that a friend or relative did them with a digital camera. They ask if I can do something better.” He can. In addition to portrait, wedding, commercial and glamour work, John is a specialist in choosing the perfect frame for images.
