I visited "Julia" on Valentine's Day and it was...

I visited "Julia" on Valentine's Day and it was absolutely perfect. The Valentine's Day menu was superb and well worth the price. The service was exceptional and I especially enjoyed their live DJ, dancing and entertainment. I'm not sure if dancing is available every night or just because it was Valentine's Day. I will definitely come again!

The food far better then I expected. Veal...

The food far better then I expected. Veal Striploin done more then my husband liked, they immediately recooked. Took a little extra time, however we were in no hurry. They brought an extra bottle of wine for our trouble. Wanted Halibut, said they were all out, that was a dissappointment. Lots of extra information on the menu regarding nutritional information, that was appreciated. Quinoa was outstanding, tiramisu was adequate, banana coconut creme brulee decadent.

I have nothing but good things to say about my...

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I was recommended by a colleague and will definitely take their advice again! Our host was engaging and very friendly, although my wife wanted to take him home! Our server Courtney was knowledgeable and recommended a fantastic wine. My wife really enjoyed the portobello salad and I had the Gazpacho....I loved it, although it is quite spicy, so be warned. We allowed our server to suggest our entrees and we went with the pork and the tuna (great salad!!). We decided to forgo dessert in favour of icewine. ***Note to all icewine fanatics*** try the Cabernet Franc icewine....it's delicious! I bought a bottle at the lcbo the next day. Nice touch to offer expensive dessert wines by the glass....can't get that too often.... We will most certainly be back.

First time, came in for a quick bite while...

First time, came in for a quick bite while downtown shopping on a rare Tuesday playing hooky from work with my wife. I had the soup and it was fantastic! My wife tried it, loved it too, and changed her order (she was just going to have the salad) to add a soup for herself. The waiter was excellent, although he had a very strong accent and was quite soft spoken. Will definitely make plans to come back for dinner sometime.

The service was very friendly and very relaxed...

The service was very friendly and very relaxed. The slow pace wasn't a problem for us, but it would have been very frustrating if we had been on any sort of time schedule. Our appetizers were wonderful, but other than the fish, the main courses were very pedestrian. The beef filet was ho-hum and the gnocchi was dry. We may go back again sometime because the menu is quite extensive, but there are lots of other restaurants to try before we do that. We found Julia's to be pricey for the value.
