This is our absolute *favorite* restaurant in North Bay! It is so easy to eat here, being vegan. Helen is amazing at accommodating us with special "off the menu" meals that are fresh, healthy and YUMMY!
Of course there are mouth-watering options on the menu, too.
My favorite menu items are:
Vegetarian Lotus Fried Rice (enough for several meals), Vegetable Hot Pot, Fried Tofu, and the Green Tea with Aloe chunks.

I grew up in North Bay and now live in Toronto. I work in investment banking and do a fair amount of client entertainment -- suffice it to say, I'm somewhat spoiled when it comes to fine dinning. So, when I visited this North Bay landmark after literally 25 years my expectations were modest -- I was very pleasantly surprised.
While certainly not inexpensive (especially by North Bay standards), the food, atmosphere and services were near impeccable -- no doubt a result of the very expert hands on guidance of Helen Eng.
We were a party of 7 with three kids so we didn't exactly set ourselves up for the perfect dinning experience -- that said, it worked out remarkably well. Next time it will be an adult only affair for us (either in a group or just my wife and I) but we will definitely be back.
What we had: Smoked Duck Breast (great - even the kids loved it), Dim Sum Combo (very good), Chicken Fingers (for the kids), Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls (again, for the kids), Sizzling Beef Tenderloin (good quality beef -- although the sauce wasn't my favorite), Cashew Chicken (excellent), Shrimp and Scallops in Oyster Sauce (also excellent), Peanut Lamb with Thyme (also good). All fairly heavy dishes - next time I'd go with at least one salad dish.
Small suggestion: a couple of exotic drink or juice choices (bubble teas, mango juice and such) would be a great premium addition to the menu.
I'm plump after a delicious meal of shrimp and beef casserole with a side of traditional Chinese white rice. It's regal Chinese food that's nothing like what I've ever experienced, and I've been to many Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere is tranquile and the food is full of flavour. My waitress is also the manager and she is so passionate about her restaurant that she makes duck sound devine and their restaurant made avocado ice-cream mouth watering. And it is. I'm so glad I read the previous reviews and tried this place out. You should too.
I have been living in North Bay for 5 years, and I'm kicking myself for not trying this restaurant sooner! From the street, it is difficult to determine both the size and interior beauty of the restaurant. The food was INCREDIBLE and Helen was lovely to talk to. She recommended dishes & drinks for us to try, and we were definitely not disappointed. Helen is truly passionate about her menu and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. The Iced Green Tea with Aloe was light and fruity (and as Helen ensured us, very healthy) and the Hot & Sour soup was the best I've ever had (not an exaggeration in the least!) Although all the dishes were great, I will be going back soon for another round of the Shrimp & Beef Casserole.
Without question, the best North Bay has to offer in a dining experience. Authentic Asian cuisine full of flavour and variety in a welcoming and relaxing environment. Helen makes you feel like you've been invited into her home. It's truly a most pleasurable dining experience.
