Never been impressed with this place however bc Lindsay severely lacks places to go out for lunch in the downtown core, we get stuck going there but always leave with the question of ''why '' and ''when will we learn?''
Service is great if you're a friend of the staff if not, expect mediocre service like your were at that cousins house that you really don't want to be at for the holiday dinner.
Food is ok, nothing to write home about.
Patio is nice but on a Sunday during the summer why is this place not open as not all of us work straight business hours and you should see some of the tourists that go by try to open the door to see a puzzled look of '' why are they closed ''
Yeah not much to say, ok food and bc of the lack of option you end up going.
This place would do well if it treated all their customers like family and cater to the entire town as well as tourists.
I just don't really get it? The food was ok, that being said Greek food would never be my first choice for a meal, so maybe I'm biased. Service was fine, we were eating a bit later at night so it wasn't really busy.
It was a warm night, and they had their big, garage door like thing open, but they wouldn't let us sit on the patio or near the door, we were stuffed in the back. I probably would have given a higher rating if our seating had been better.
I had the Chicken Souvlaki, and my buddies both had some sort of fish dishes. It was fine, not great but not bad either.
We were heading to Lindsay last night for the Haunted House and wanted to go out for dinner first. Looked online and found the Olympia. Decided to give it a try. We were very impressed! The food was excellent, portion sizing perfect and the service was great!
We would definitely go back there if in the area again.
Only drawback was we were seated by the front door and it was chilly whenever the door opened and closed. So it would have been nicer to seat in a booth but the place was very busy when we arrived.
We first went to the Olympia when visiting a friend in Lindsay. She no longer lives there, but we go back regularly!
The Spanakopita is excellent, as are the pulled pork, the eggplant dishes, and the Zeus burger. Special mention to the salads - the Greek is ordinary, but the blackboard special salads are often exceptional.
The Baklava is wonderful, and the coffee is a step up from standard restaurant brew.
Unless the servers are very busy, they are attentive and friendly.
I love going to the Olympia for lunch! My favourite thing to order is the chicken souvlaki - the have the best tzatziki! Always good service and reasonable prices!
