Delicious Asian Food

Dined three times at this restaurant with company. Love the chicken curry. Definitely one of my favorites in the menu. Dessert was minimal portion and could have been more considering it was overpriced. I would appreciate more generous portions next time to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Sat outside, tables too high for the chairs, noisy but it was dark, dark inside. We waited for 55 minutes before we got served and the place was not that busy. We were almost ready to leave! Lots of food, warm not hot, spring rolls were good. Tamarind sauce was bland, tiny cold cocktail shrimp. Waitress said she would be right back (15 minutes) Seemed to be enough patrons, somebody must like it. Sorry, too many good Thai, Vietnamese, Asian restaurants that are better.

Disappointing

Service was poor, we got our drinks right away but waited forever on our food, weren't checked on so I couldn't even order anything else to drink... pad thai tasted "ketchupy", was disappointing all around.

Worst Service Ever

We went to Spice Avenue on November 20, 2011 with a party of 9 people. This was my third time going, and had recommended this restaurant for dinner. We sat down and it took sometime for our server to get our drinks.25 minutes after sitting down, the server took our orders. We ordered apps then full meals. After 20 minutes, our meals came out. Then 5-7 minutes later, our apps came out. The tamarind chicken as bland and had no flavour. The only good thing was the tofu red curry. We did not get our rice we ordered with our meal. I had gone to talk to our server about getting more drinks and our rice. That took another 15 minutes. Finally after three of us complained to someone finally came over. They offered us free dessert (four already go dessert with their meals), and a 10% off the bill, and generously offered not to charge us for the rice we did not get. I am SO disappointed and embarrassed I took my family here for dinner. I will never order again.

Food poor, people great

Warm welcome, attentive service, comfortable decor, quality place settings all can't overcome the mediocrity of the food. Appetizers: the chicken rolls were wrapped in thick, rubbery rice paper (so called) while the "Spice Wings" was a huge portion (4 wings, 2 drumsticks, 2 thighs) with little meat and a thick batter. Mains: Mongolian Chow Mein was tasty but like my friend's beef dish was overloaded with noodles. They had a nice selection of Asian beers for quaffing. They only serve INSTANT coffee!!!!
