Another delicious meal at Umberto's last night, with great service, a quiet table, and an unpretentious atmosphere. A side note, but important, they hit just the right note with the background music. Smooth jazz at just enough volume to enjoy. It was fairly quiet for a Thursday night, but the other half dozen or so tables were also filled with diners expressing their appreciation for a good meal. Beef carpaccio was, like all the dishes, the perfect size portion. My husband and I shared it well as the bruschetta, which was a little too cheesy for me but perfect for him. The chef salad is a great mix of greens and veg with a nice vinaigrette. The ostrich and kangaroo - what can I say - grilled/sauteed just beautifully and mouthwateringly delicious. The Shiraz reduction was a very nice accompaniment to the kangaroo. Both entrees were served with roasted veg and potatoes, nicely seasoned, as well as a charming little fresh vegetable relish/slaw on radicchio. Shared a bottle of 2009 Rosemount Cab Shiraz, chosen from the small but interesting wine list, proved a good choice. We lingered over tiramisu and flourless chocolate hazelnut cake, preferring the tiramisu. The "Umberto" specialty coffee was a lovely finish to the meal. Ingredients were fresh, attention was paid to presentation, and the service was very attentive yet not intrusive. We will definitely be back. (I will try the seafood pasta next time - 3 of the table of 6 near us ordered it as their favorite) Lire plus

I go here all the time with my family. Wa all enjoy the great atmosphere and good service. The food is delicious! My son loves the selection of pastas, and my husband could have an affair with their ribs! Service is fast and efficient, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to receive each course. I absolutely love their desserts, their assortment of cakes is mouth-watering, especially the chocolate caramel almond cheesecake. Definitely a Cambridge-must. Lire plus

I go here fairly regularly because this place does it up right. It's not a huge place and gets packed fairly easily, so there have been times when I simply haven't gotten in, but you snooze you lose. It is in an old victorian style home, taking up both floors. Downstairs seats a few tables and the main bar, while upstairs hosts a more casual atmosphere of games, chairs, etc....like you are in someones home. Decor is eclectic and funky, provides a nice touch to the visit. Service is always good to above average, the staff are trained well, know their beers well enough, and are always smiling. I've eaten here too many times to mention, but the wings are great, as is the cajun catfish sandwich. The wings are a great portion and the sauces are excellent. The catfish sandwich is spicy,savoury, very flavourful, well portioned, and well priced. I like that they have Boneshaker on tap on a regular basis. In fact, they only serve craft beer which speaks to the quality of the establishment. Clientele is a mix of somewhat obnoxious college hipsters and hippies that think they are re-living Woodstock for some reason, but I don't have to like them to like the place. Keep up the great work! I came to this restaurant for my father's birthday and the food was incredible. It is an authetic portuguese restaurant on James street in Hamilton. For an appetizer we had the Bruchetta, which is baked pizza style bread topped with tomato, onion and garlic. Yumm! For the dish I ate the Filete com arroz, which is fish filete with seafood rice. The dish cost $17 but was really cheap considering the amount of food that was provided. I will definetely return to this restaurant and recommend anyone to try this place.
