Best wings around period!! Halibut is also fabulous for the fish lover. Location is licensed with exception price on beer. There lb is a true pound and not wimpy skinny things most places serve. I have been eating these for years.

Not sure about the other reviewer, but after reading this review, I had to register and give an opinion on one of our favorite little take out places we know.
We visit our cottage regularly about 2 kms from this "super" Chip Wagon, mostly in the summer months, and have many local friends who all rave about the food at George's (from what we understand, it's not the owner's name).
The ice cream is great, and we order it EVERY time - judging by all the tall white ice cream bins and the ice cream menu sign out front, Reid's dairy is the supplier from Belleville.
The burgers and fresh cut fries are fantastic, I'm not a fish lover, but our friends order their halibut fish & chips EVERY time we go.
As for locals, our local friends said this place has been there for like 10-15 or more years, some of them claim to have gained weight from eating there so often, so have to disagree with the local opinion comments - though I guess any time you go to a small town, opinions will may vary!
In our family opinion, it's a lovely place to eat, great atmosphere on the way to the local beaches and cottages, on a nice summer weekend. We would and have, recommended to anyone we know!

Adding in the delightfully friendly staff, I am hard pressed to think of what else I could ask for in a Restaurant? I am glad you convinced us to eat-in rather than getting take-out. There is a huge difference between a family owned restaraunt and a box shop. If you want bagged meat and pre portioned specials then do not go here. My family and friends have been coming here for upwards of 10 years. Since we have been coming, they have had the same 2 chefs, same owners, and same front house staff, we always know that our experience will be fantastic. They are always willing to accommodate (and remember ) my families various likes and dislikes, seating us at our favorite table, and make us feel like we are truly welcome. The food is hot, homemade, traditional, delicious and worth every penny. The service is knowledgeable, delightful, and efficient.
My family, guests and I love this place and we love to support a family owned business. This is a place where you can tell people actually care, consistently.

We spend out summers at Bobcaygeon and visit Cody's with friends and family as often as possible. Wish there was chinese food 1/2 as good available in Burlington where we spend the winter. Their Lemon Chicken is to die for and we also all love the Shrimp and Peaches. The servings are so generous we always have lots to take home and enjoy the next day.

I love the atmosphere. It is a typical sports bar but that's what is fun about it. The patio is great, and when there is a big sporting event going on.. Champs is the place to go. I will definitely go back.

Thurston's diner is an unpretentious gem. A comfortable familial place where you want to go again. Warm, homemade food, diner standards done right. Great French fries and home fries. We had a huge group visit, and the food was served very fast.
I got a heaping portion of salad because I substituted it for my fries. So pleased :).
The waitresses were very accomodating to the large number.

Went there with 2 friends, the host at the front door was great, smile held the door, sat us withen 4 min there was a small wait but it was dinner time. Some big over weight lady was kinda rude to the server tho, people that are in a bad mood should stay home, stop trying to dump on others. Go on a diet.
