The Magnolia Hotel is a good hotel for business travelers not worried about budget. The property itself is quite nice and the rooms are very nicely decorated; however, the price is a little high for the amenities the property has. I prefer a property with a swimming pool, so if you don't this may not bother you. Great location right downtown and nice that they removed the nightclub from the basement, a lot quieter now.

The Empress Hotel is the icon of Victoria. For that extra special getaway I would recommend a night at this iconic property, a horse drawn carriage tour and afternoon tea. You can't get more Victorian than that! But seriously, this is a beautiful property (the rooms are a little small) but the history, design & atmosphere make up for the lack of size. Ask about the haunted stories!

The Inn at Laurel Pointe is spectacular to say the least. The property is located between downtown and james bay right on the waterfront. I have attended many weddings here and you really cannot beat the picturesque scenery from outside the dining hall. Watch the sunset over the mountains from your delux room while enjoying a glass of champagne. This property is definitely in my top 3 for Victoria. Whether you are a local or visiting you will not regret spending an evening here.
