Having been very disappointed at the lack of good Chinese food in the Durham area, I was extremely pleased to find Wok - In Express in Brooklin. Yes there are a lots of Chinese restaurants in Durham but not good ones! At Wok - In Express, not only is the food they serve fresh and tasty but it is very reasonably priced considering what you get. They use very fresh ingredients and are consistent time after time. The oil they use for the fried items is fresh and the difference can be immediately tasted. Food is not greasy in the least. Try the General Taos chicken, it is addictive. The restaurant is very well located with lots of parking and it is clean. This makes a big difference for me because if you take pride in how your restaurant looks, you will take pride in the product you are serving. Lire plus

One thing that most reviews on here have not mentioned about Port Perry Thai is that they have a great lunch menu! There's something like 10 different choices, each with hot & sour soup and spring roll, for $7.95! When I worked in Port Perry I used to go here at least once a week, the food is absolutely awesome. The one complaint I would have is that they play classical music, which in itself isn't so bad, but they keep the volume at the lowest possible level! Weird. Lire plus

The food I order taste splendid, and offers generous amount for its value paid. During weekend nights, it could get really busy both for dine-in and take-out. If you are looking for a spot to hang with your friends and watch the game then you definitely need to hit up Whitby St.Louis. They pride themselves on their staff as well as ensuring that any major game that is playing is on every TV. This means hockey, baseball, football, UFC, golf- you name it they have it. Oh and the wings, fries and garlic dip is delicious. My personal favorite is the Hot n Honey wing sauce or the Suicide wing sauce. I would suggest going on Tuesday for wing night, or on Thurs or Fri which is their busiest nights. They have a huge regular following from 3pm to 5:30pm so if you are looking for some company at the bar, this is the time to go! Lire plus

What a treat we had in Port Perry after a couple of hours out on the water. The main dining room was full so we were shown a table in a private room which we had all to ourselves. Both the service and the food was excellent. The owner, Christie, was friendly and down to earth making us feel very welcome. A couple of us had food restrictions which were easily accommodated.
