Désolé, le contenu de cette page est uniquement disponible en anglais.

Steveston has the good fortune of being home to some of Richmond’s finest restaurants. The riverside village is a food lover’s paradise for locally caught seafood (if fish is not your thing, no worries, there are plenty of options). Locals are lucky to able to call these restaurants their neighbourhood haunts, however people travel from far and wide to experience these fine-dining spots.

Blue Canoe Waterfront Restaurant

1
140-3866 Bayview St, Richmond BC V7E 4R7

The award-winning Blue Canoe overlooks the Fraser River, a perfect location to watch commercial fishing boats and sunsets. The rustic dining area creates a feeling of kicking back at a lakeside cottage, complete with a canoe (not in the slightest bit blue) that hangs from the ceiling. From perennial favourites like the waterfront burger, grilled strip loin steak and quinoa salad to daily specials (often shining a spotlight on seafood), this is a happening spot year round.

Ora Sushi & Grill

2
120-3651 Moncton St, Richmond BC V7E 3A5

Fresh, local ingredients are the focus at popular Ora Sushi. The chef takes pride in selecting produce daily and uses only wild Pacific salmon and red tuna. The crazy sushi roll – a delicious, crispy, warm signature California roll featuring three sauces – is crazy good and a must-try item. Bibimbap, Kalbi BBQ beef, udon, maki sushi, sashimi, rolls, nigiri sushi and noodle dishes round out the extensive and delicious menu.

Sockeye City Grill

108-3800 Bayview St, Richmond BC V7E 6K7

Sockeye City Grill is situated in a prime locale overlooking Fisherman’s Wharf. Renowned for its seafood (fresh lobster and crab are available daily), the restaurant also sells fish and chips from a take out window during the summer. The large outdoor patio is a great spot to dine, people watch, and enjoy the scenic harbour view in the warm weather. During the cooler months, the spacious interior accommodates a large crowd.

Steveston Seafood House

4
3951 Moncton St, Richmond BC V7E 3A7

Fresh, sustainable seafood is the focus of Steveston Seafood House, which is likely the village’s longest operating dining establishment. First opened in 1978, the business underwent an attractive remodel a few years ago. If you are craving variety, the Captain Vancouver share platter features a combination of king crab legs, prawns, scallops, clams, mussels, salmon and halibut. Not a seafood fan? The diverse menu also offers a number of meaty options, including duck, lamb, steak and veal Surf or turf; this is a place to celebrate a special occasion or no occasion at all.

Tapenade Bistro

5
3711 Bayview St, Richmond BC V7E 3B6

Tapenade is an award-winning bistro featuring French and Mediterranean inspired West Coast fare. The simple, yet elegant cuisine showcases local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients. Tapenade has earned a reputation for its great food, outstanding service and a fantastic wine list. Owner Vince Morlet’s charm and warmth contributes to the ambience as he circulates the restaurant floor to greet customers. Hint: try perennial favourites such as the beet salad and linguine boscaiola.
