Neil Campbell

Neil Campbell

Dr. Campbell was born and raised in Manitoba. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Chemistry from the University of Winnipeg. Dr. Campbell graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1999. He was involved in SVOSH (Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity) where they provided eye care to the needed people in rural Costa Rica. Upon graduation Dr. Campbell returned to Winnipeg and began working alongside several ophthalmologists in a laser eye clinic. In 2001 he branched out and split his time between private practice and laser eye surgery. Dr. Campbell has been on the council for the Manitoba Association of Optometrists from 2002-2014 and served as President from 2011-2014. He was an active member helping to bring therapeutics to Manitoba so that now optometrists can prescribe medications to treat various eye diseases. Dr. Campbell joined FYidoctors in 2014 so that he could provide his patients with the highest quality of eye care and services. Dr. Campbell resides in Winnipeg and enjoys spending time with his wife and children and their two Saint Bernard dogs.

Gary Butterworth

Gary Butterworth

Dr. Butterworth's first professional degree was from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Pharmacy. After two years practice, he returned to university, graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1987. He has worked in private practice in Winnipeg since. Dr. Butterworth served the Manitoba Association of Optometrists as a member of the Board of Examiners, member and chair of the Complaints Committee and member of the Regulatory Advisory Committee that brought medication prescribing rights to Manitoba optometrists, for which he was jointly awarded the Association's Optometrist of the Year in 2014. In addition to private practice, Dr. Butterworth provides optometric services to remote First Nation communities in Manitoba and Ontario. He also provides low vision services at the CNIB Sight Enhancement Centre. Dr. Butterworth and his wife have raised three accomplished adult children. He is a sports fan and coached youth sports for many years.

Tyler Buffie

Tyler Buffie

Dr. Tyler Buffie attended the University of Winnipeg where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree but more importantly met his wife. He then completed his degree at the University of Waterloo in Optometry with Honours while traveling to Mexico and El Salvador on eye care missions. Upon returning to Winnipeg Dr. Buffie set about improving his knowledge in eye care by working with local ophthalmologists. This led to becoming the go-to optometrist for paediatric ophthalmology in contact lens care for children after cataract surgery. In 2011, Dr. Buffie joined a local ophthalmology group practice, the GEM Clinic. There he began managing complex glaucoma, cataract, AMD, and uveitis patients after surgery and for ongoing care. This has led to the extensive knowledge that Dr. Buffie passes on to students as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Waterloo. In 2015 Dr. Buffie purchased Dr. Robert Maxin's practice on Academy road. In 2019 he merged the practice with FYi Winnipeg. He is still accepting new patients and is excited to provide all types of eye care to his patients in this new setting.

Jivan Dhaliwal

Jivan Dhaliwal

Dr. Gurjivan Dhaliwal was born and raised in Winnipeg. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg in 2020, he went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry Degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 2024. Dr. Dhaliwal completed rotations which included specializations in pediatrics, myopia management and dry eye disease. Dr. Dhaliwal is excited to be back in his hometown and treat the local population. He is proud to serve his patients in both English and Punjabi. In his free time, you can find Dr. Dhaliwal coaching soccer, on the golf course, traveling the world and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Dhaliwal looks forward to meeting you soon!
