I’ve been to pembroke animal hospital several times and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff are friendly and flexible, my schedule often makes it difficult for me to book an appointment with much notice and the clinic has done nothing but cater to my needs. Dr. Davies is always a pleasure to deal with and always takes the time to discuss options and answer any questions I have .
We have always got the best care when we went to each appointment, I would highly reccommend this hospital for your beloved pet!
I recently called this Hospital with an emergency situation concerning my beloved pet PUG. I had explained the situation to the vet and was informed that I could bring my dog there and pay the 200.00 emergency fee but all they were going to do was send the dog to Ottawa as they don't like dealing with either Pugs or Bull dogs. When I asked them why they couldn't look at the dog before telling me that I had to go somewhere else they informed me that they were unable to help me or my pet and to bring him to Ottawa. I called another local animal hospital and was told to bring my dog in the clinic in 15 min. After looking at my dog they determined he had an infection and needed IV fluids due to the heat...... A simple answer to a simple problem that I was told the Pembroke Animal Hospital was unable to deal with

We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate incident and pleased that another local clinic was able to accommodate you and PUG with the service he required. We are unable to comment on the case in point as we require further information and would be pleased to address it if you wish to contact us. We can however with certainty say that the claim that we do not like dealing with pugs or bulldogs is untrue and we regret that you were given this impression. We have many clients who own pugs and bulldogs. Our extended staff family includes 3 bulldogs and our recently retired groomer is a breeder of English bulldogs. Therefore I can assure you that we do not turn away from providing medical treatment based on breed.
