Chef Chan

Over priced, food a bit on the greasy side. A few of my neighbors also complained about nausea after eating here often.

Used to love it...

I have been ordering from Chef Chan for 8 years now. It's the only place we order chinese food from. I have been disappointed lately with the quality of their food. Sauces are watered down, noodles under-cooked, vegetables over cooked, VERY oily etc. They only offer take-out & delivery and don't have the greatest hours (close at 9 or 10 pm). They seem to always be busy and in a rush, but it has compromised their quality a lot! Not sure if I will order from them again

I've been going to Chef Chan for over 10 years and it's by far the best Chinese place in the area! Overall, their food is the best but their dinner for one special is what I absolutely love! Pop, eggroll, (lots of) fried rice, and 1 side for about $7 is the best deal I've seen. The people that work there are very friendly and very good. While the restaurant doesn't look like much, it's not a dine-in place so it really doesn't matter. Overall, this is the best Chinese food restaurant I've ever been to in terms of value and quality of food.

Very Good Take Out Food. Always Fresh Don't be fooled by some of the negative reviews written ---they are from the other Chinese Places that cannot get thier customers back. Veggies are fresh and meat is very good. The only thing I can say that is negative is about the place is that the shrimp in the stir fry usually are a little mushy. Better Chinese than you can find in chinatown delivery is fast double check your order when you are on the phone sometimes there can be a language prob. Try picking it up first if you don't believe me ---- you can watch it all being made in front of you Very Good---- Nothing Better around for 100km

Packaging for take out is ok. they use styrofoam...

Packaging for take out is ok. they use styrofoam containers for the combos which to me feels like a health risk. a hot dinner placed in this container and held closed for a long period of time makes me think the chemicals from the container may contaminate the food. at least it sort of smells that way. Also the rice is always very well done when ordering from here which is not my favorite. Other then these 2 things, Chef Chans is a really good chinese food restaurant in Markham and one of the best i have been to.

During our visit to Chef Chan, we were met by excellent service and excellent hot food. The staff were very nice and helpful and the food was prepared before us in a flash. The portions were of good size, most of us had a hard time finishing our meal. THough there is not much room to eat on site, they offer fast delivery or take out.
