After reading these reviews and hearing lots of good about Ben Thanh we decided to pop in for a late lunch. First impression based on appearances was a little reminicant of a cafateria setting, knowing full well appearances arn't everything we grabbed a booth close to the few other diners in at this time of day. The server responded to our hand written menu choices fairly quickly the order however seemed to take quite a while. Super dissapointed with the spring rolls they had potential yet were extremely greasy and between the two orders were cooked more or less plus i had to score the hot sauce from another table still dining, mine came later. The soup was adequate definatly not the best ive had and the thai veggies were cold bland ans sticky in that order. I guess we were let down by the reviews next the food and then the service.. the most attentive they were was towards the bill which was high for what we got. looks like im going to have to keep searching for the best pho in town
