Roughley Originals

At heart, Gareth and Shauna Roughley, the husband and wife team behind Roughley Originals Photography, are adventurers. In 2004, both Gareth, an Englishman, and Shauna, a Canadian, were traveling independently on working holiday visas in Australia where they met and fell in love. They spent the next six months together, solidifying their relationship and exploring the continent before they parted ways.

But their story didn’t end there; Gareth came to Canada and eventually got his residency. After they were married in 2009, they went traveling through New Zealand, India, Tasmania, Turkey, Hong Kong and the U.K. Throughout their travels, both Shauna and Gareth formed an uncanny ability to connect with people, quickly building the foundation for friendship.
