Sisters Brianna and Amanda Thorogood have loved taking pictures since their high school photography classes. While they went in different directions at university – Brianna studied media arts and film while Amanda pursued child and youth counselling – Amanda remained passionate about the art and continued to take pictures whenever she could. “When we got out of university during the summer or on a break, we would take in a bunch of clients and do family sessions,” Amanda says.
The sisters began building a part-time business in 2012 and went full-time after they graduated in 2014, joining forces to establish Focus Sisters Photography. “Going full-time was always part of the plan,” Amanda explains, “and in 2015 we set up our studio space.”
